Over the years many of my customers have been kind enough to recommend my services, but the old website didn’t have the facility to record any comments. So, when the site underwent a recent design makeover I took the opportunity to add a ‘Customer Comments page, which I hope existing and prospective customers will make use of. Thanks!

    Dear Will
Just received the Telecaster this morning and as usual, and as before with previous guitars, absolutely beautiful job! Wouldn’t believe it has actually been repaired.
Once again thanks for your help and a good job for us guitarists that you are about.
    Keep well, best wishes.

Will has been taking care of our guitar repairs/setups etc for over 10yrs, always a great job and gets the setup you want and not what he thinks you should have!.. We’ve had re-frets, pickups fitted, fret dressing and repairs on both our acoustic and electric guitars. Can’t recommend him enough!

Will – immense thanks for bringing the Grammer back from the dead.

The guitar is being inherited by my son from my wife’s dad (a mid-western, country music fanatic) who bought it in Nashville in the late 1960s. My son doesn’t yet know it’s been repaired and sounds good so please… no-one tell him before Christmas! My wife thinks it was already damaged when he bought it since Grammers were relatively expensive back then and her dad never mad a lot of money to throw around. Heaven knows what happened to it in the intervening years – it was just sitting leaning against a wall for the last 18 years since her dad died which probably didn’t do it any favours. My son fell in love with the guitar when he visited his grandmother over the years and she was adamant that he should have it when we visited her soon before she died in August.

From some internet searching, the serial number suggests that it was a hand-build in 1966. A picture of Billy Grammer playing an identical model except for the lettering on the headstock is here: http://tinyurl.com/crsdaou and a picture of a slightly different model but with identical headstock here: http://www.hep.uiuc.edu/home/g-gollin/guitar/ (search for “Charles Goodman’s 1966 Grammer, serial number 1028”).

Thanks again for the splendid restoration job.

Thank you Blaise. It was so satisfying to get The Grammer back into a playing condition. As I said to you at the time ( and several other people since ) the sound of that guitar is gorgeous.

Will has carried out work on several of my vintage guitars that required TLC and I’m always happy with the results. He repairs existing parts and makes new parts that look as though they were original. Excellent job and very reasonable charges – that’s why I keep going back!

Thank you Deryck. Your guitars are always unusual and interesting to work on. I’ll be looking forwards to the next one!

Over the years, Will has rescued several of my guitars and basses from unplayable states. The turnaround times have always been reasonable for the work undertaken.

I have been dealing with Will Scott for the past 13 years and trust no one else with my guitars. He has done numerous setups, pickup installation and repairs for me and actually re-built my Gibson 1971 SG pro from a shell that I had given to me with a broken neck to the finished article which. The attention to detail Will shows to the work he does is amazing and I can’t recommend him enough. Thanks again Will for looking after my guitars for so many years.

I’ve been trusting my guitars to Will for years now. He’s always set up my instruments beautifully, just the way I want them. The man’s a genius with broken or damaged instruments too. Not only a great technician but a valued friend. Cheers Will.

Will has fixed some vintage guitars for me and made me a couple of amazing Les Pauls. I first came to him with a Thunderbird IV, which had a broken headstock and was missing about an inch of wood from the neck. Will made a repair that includes an inlay of the 9 layers of wood in the neck. Unless you know that there is a repair, you can’t tell. He then took a custom built Les Paul that had many issues (including a broken truss rod, twisted neck and a back breaking weight), he completely converted it into an amazing guitar that was on the Bare Knuckle stand at the 2005 London Guitar show. He then fixed an old 1971 John Birch that had been in the wars and the finish had reacted with the case liner and really wanted a lot of TLC. It is now incredible looking with a gorgeous black cherry translucent finish. He built me 2 more instruments, that are also amazing, one is a semi acoustic 5 string bass and the other is a 25.5″ scale Les Paul custom with a wrap around bridge and sustain for days! I can’t complement his work enough. He is very professional and delivers the best.

All of my guitars go through Will first. He’s the only person I trust with my gear. He not only can repair and restore better than anyone I know, he also “gets” what you want and need out of your instrument. Not many luthiers have that skill, but Will does. I cannot recommend him enough.

I came to Will Scott with my guitars headstock nearly completely detached from the guitar, Will fixed the split and now its not noticeable the fact the guitar was ever damaged, just an amazing job done, also i had a Les Paul that had broken wiring and a Yamaha SG that was also broken with wiring and had a split in the back, he fixed both of these guitars and now they are playing better then ever! Once again Thank You!
