My name is Will Scott and I’m a professional luthier (musical instrument repairer/maker). I’m also a family man, married with two teenage sons. I’m passionate about guitars and about getting the best performance and playability I can from them. I’ve had a guitar in my hand since I was 14, and I still like to get out and play gigs both as a solo performer and with my classic rock band Loose Change – see the gig guide.
My Career
I studied Musical Instrument Technology at Leeds College of Music and after graduating in 1985 took a job with John Hornby Skews & Co in Leeds carrying out guitar repairs and quality control checks in their service department. In 1990 I began teaching guitar making at Leeds College of Music as well as starting my own business offering repair services freelance to musicians, music stores and students. Eventually I became an authorized technician for Jackson® Guitars.
In 2000 I moved the business to Pembrokeshire in West Wales. I’ve built up a collection of tools, knowledge and experience that allows me to deliver the highest standard of work at sensible prices. Taking pride in my work is extremely important to me – word of mouth is the best form of advertising and I wouldn’t get the repeat business and recommendations without happy customers.
I look forward to hearing from you.
